When brothels were plentiful, and gunfights took place on busy streets. Some streets were nothing more than muddy roadways. Others offered a variety of foods, saloons and overnight rooms.

Ghost tours, historical tours, mine tours – you name it – there are lots of exciting things to see and do on any given day throughout Greenlee County.

Tourists and day trippers want to know where the public restrooms are located. Fortunately, Morenci, Clifton, 3 Way, York Valley and Duncan all offer public facilities. Most gas stations have public use restrooms, as do Family Dollar and Dollar General. Basha’s have clean public restrooms, as do both Town Halls, the County Courthouse and along SR 191, at the Historic Train Depot, Clifton parks, Forest Service near 3 Way, York Valley Public Park, the County Fairgrounds and libraries.

Are you a photo buff? Take your pick – nature sites, birding trails to see eagles, wild turkeys, owls, falcons and hummingbirds – want look-out points? High elevations? Year round running rivers, solitude with palm trees and evergreens side-by-side.

Historic Hotels, like the Clifton Hotel and Bar, offer an overnight experience worth writing about in a diary. Restored to near-original condition, enjoy the décor, period furniture and excellent libations.

Looking for souvenirs? Basha’s, the Greenlee Historical Society Museum, Clifton Visitor Center, The Headframe Apothecary, Country ChicArt Gallery, Crafters Boutique and Visitor Center in Duncan all offer a wide range of trinkets, local artisan items, t-shirts and memorabilia.

Food, fueling stations and charging ports (in Morenci) are plentiful and desirable. For more details, addresses and contact information go to our website www.visitgreenleecounty.com
