The legendary Coronado Trail Scenic Highway (US 191), aka “The Devil’s Highway” (Old Route 666) leads travelers from high desert landscapes to alpine forests (or vice versa) via more than 200 switchbacks and many hairpin turns so the views are ever-changing and as beautiful as they are varied.

The Black Hills Backcountry National Scenic Bywayis an adventurous, historic route boasting spectacular vistas of the Gila and San Francisco River Valleys. In 21 miles travel amongst high desert, a lush riparian environment, and forested mountains.

The Highway 78 “Mule Creek” route is a short, twisting road that climbs from the Gila River Valley into the nearby mountains complete with coniferous forests and streams as it enters New Mexico. The steep, switch-backed ascent to the Black Jack Campground area delivers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Bring your camera!
