Call Me Old-fashioned
A.I. – two simple letters that represent conflicting emotions and reactions in just about everyone. And, speaking for myself, I am skeptical about the overuse and misuse of A.I.
Granted, some of the work that AI can accomplish in such short periods of time is nothing short of astonishing. Sometimes an article or online post identifies the ‘writer’ as AI, but more and more frequently articles and information is posted and verifying authorship is getting more challenging by the day.
Enter ‘The True Origin’. A website / online platform that identifies the true percentage of online content creators, AI or human by percentages. It is also possible to get a verification badge for content one can post along with their document, post, photo, etc.!
Sincerely, Akos Kovach | GTA Chair
In a world where AI-generated content is everywhere and it’s getting harder to tell what’s authentic, a new tool is in the works that puts the power of truth back in your hands — and it comes from right here in your own backyard.
TrueOrigin is a project of Dillard Marketing & Consulting — the same team behind this very newsletter and the digital presence you know as visitgreenleecounty.com and marketplace.visitgreenleecounty.com. Margaret Dillard has partnered with the Greenlee Tourism Association for years to produce the monthly Discover Greenlee Newsletter and keep the GTA’s online platforms running and growing.
TrueOrigin is a content authenticity and provenance platform currently in development. The concept is straightforward: rather than making guesses about what you’re seeing online, TrueOrigin surfaces signals, evidence, and context so you can make informed decisions about what to trust. It also helps creators — writers, photographers, videographers, and brand builders — prove that their work is genuinely theirs.

Think about what that means for a place like Greenlee County, where the stories are real, the landscapes are real, and the people are real. As rural communities compete for visitors and attention in an increasingly noisy digital landscape, being able to say this is authentic — and back it up — matters more than ever.
TrueOrigin is currently in its early access phase, with testers and creators invited first. If you’re a content creator, local business owner, or just someone who’s tired of not knowing what to believe online, this one’s worth watching.
