Greenlee County is awash in wildflower colors, along our highways – on our main streets and in our yards. Such a joyful sigh to see. A super bloom is an infrequent but always appreciated sight to see. A visual reminder that spring has sprung and is leading the way to summertime.
As we begin our baby steps towards an annual favorite holiday – Mother’s Day May 14th – Greenlee County offers fields of color in the desert. Bright yellows, deep orange, plumes of purple, tiny white to baby blues – wild flowers are ready to welcome your next OR first visit to Greenlee County.
Let there be no mistake, our small county offers big forests, running rivers, abundant wildlife – accessible public restrooms – and food choices from BBQ to Honduran; Filipino to Sonoran and some of the biggest juiciest burgers in Arizona.
We have Visitor centers in Duncan & Clifton, gift shoppes, modernized hotels dating back to the 1880’s, ghost tours, world class rock hounding, hiking -biking and equestrian trails and some of the most impressive vistas to be seen anywhere.
Come Visit Us! Greenlee County – our arms are open. and finally – we are gearing up for the next Big Quack Duck Race. Cat Heller will be sending you information.
