The next worthwhile location is found at the northern end of Morenci, a fun place called Michelle’s – in the mood for sports tv? Amazing sandwiches, cheerful service and crazy libations in fun glassware await you.
Morenci also offers a wide range of restaurants, clubs and over-the-top fun places to eat. Craving pizza? R&R Pizza and their salad bar are big local favorites. But don’t miss Morenci Lanes (a Bowling Alley’s Café with wonderful staff and food) or the Morenci Hotel Restaurant for a wide variety and easy take out. Zuly’s Sonoran Style Mexican food is rapidly gaining popularity – but sometimes you just want to ‘get it and go’ – so consider Basha’s Delicatessen – or another block away – Starbucks. Still want more? All things breakfast and more – Miner’s Diner, and next door to Big Tex BBQ their name is just a hint.
Craving fast food that tastes better than fast food? Fuel up and eat up at the Marathon Service station. But don’t miss GloryAnn’s Catering and Food Truck (in between Bashas and the Bowling Alley) arguably the best burro’s anywhere.
Ready to drive further south? Just as you complete the Horseshoe Cirve from Morenci into Clifton expect the unexpected – Filipino cuisine at Dina’s Karinderya Dina’s KarinderyaThey also serve crazy good Mexican food as well. Their neighbor is Los Mendoza – you must check into their menu of Mexican style treats and meals.
Want more? The Clifton Hotel & Bar offers a special dish nearly every day, and their bar is straight-out of the historic history of this 1873 town. They are just across the river bridge from the American Legion – sports bar and foods to delight veteran’s and their families alike.
Did you say calzones? El Corralito has drinks, ‘zones and pizza’s delight anyone’s desire for a sound meal with an eye on sports, enjoy a meal and kickback.
Wait did you miss seeing Circle K? Their fast foods line up the miners every day, 7 days a week! On your way out of town – you will see the Little Frisco (for over 40 years known as PJ’s Café). Another local favorite for good reason.
As you continue south and get to York Valley Gi’Mees’ Grab & Go lets you pick and choose and hit the road – ya gotta try their cheesecakes. And finally you reach Duncan. Humble Pie Pizza has bragging rights for mouth watering pizza, while River’s Roadside offers quick meals and snacks – and an ice cream fountain for dessert. Which brings us to the Ranch House Steak restaurant. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is always a special treat here.
