April and May 2022 Events

Greenlee County Arizona consists of two incorporated Towns, Clifton and Duncan and several unincorporated communities such as Blue, Hannagan Meadow, Granville Lodge, Guthrie, Three Way, York Valley, Apache Grove, Sheldon and Franklin to name a few.

It seems like we have something going on every day for local residents and tourists alike. For those in need we offer Clifton Morenci Food Bank, open April 21. Duncan Food Bank on April 13th & April 26th.

For travelers looking for something new to see there is Country Chic Art Gallery,  Crafters Boutique and Visitor Center in Duncan. Be sure to check out a Real Emporium, Germaine’s Emporium, also in Duncan.

Are you a golfer? Stop at the 9-hole wonder known as the Greenlee County Golf Course in York Valley. Seeking solitude? Go to the Blackjack Campgrounds on Highway 78, just before you cross the state line into New Mexico.

April is also the month the famous Lions Club Baseball Tournament is hosted in Morenci April 7th through the 9th.

And the much anticipated Clifton Hill Climb which begins Thursday April 28 with pre-registration at PJ’s Café. Friday March 29, Race Registration at the paddock area in Ward Canyon. Timed racing begins Saturday April 30, followed by a Racers Parade and a Driver/Race Car Meet & Greet at the American Legion. Sunday May 1st racing begins at 9 am until 4 pm followed by the Clifton Hill Climb Awards Banquet also at the American Legion.
