Wednesday evening, November 29th, we had a very good turnout for the San Francisco River Revitalization Plan Celebration and Finale.
III Counties Beer provided us with over 25 different beers from 12 brewers for our tasting pleasure. The American Legion prepared and served free hamburgers for all. This was supported by the Greenlee Tourism Association and paid for out of funds from the FMI Grant for the San Francisco River Revitalization Plan and individual purchases by the event attendees.
Stephenie Rae was our very talented and articulate moderator. She got us going on the right foot and introduced our keynote speaker, Mr. Kindle Spears who gave a well thought-out and prepared talk about the history of the San Francisco River Revitalization Plan and our need for on-going community involvement. Phil, Akos and Steve also took turns at the microphone to address the crowd.
A good time was had by all and we anticipate a bright future of community participation in the San Francisco River Revitalization Plan and the many projects it will inspire.
